Italy is the world’s largest wine producer. The country owes its reputation to the fact that it not only produces and exports the largest quantities, but also provides the widest variety of grapes, which come in all possible colors, aromas and styles. From the Adriatic to the Mont Blanc, each region produces its own specific wines, and yet all of them stay true to the „Italian style”: acidic, dry, less bodied and aromatic than those from the New World, for instance. That is why, a great Italian wine is always greater when paired with food. |
